Fontana del Vàgine

Fountain of Vàgine is the oldest fountain in Bergamo. Some legends are connected with it: During the Roman Empire, male infants were immersed in it for some seconds. If they did not cry ('vagito' in italian, hence the name) they would be considered weak and therefore unfit for military life.
